Rivian announced that the R1T and R1S Launch Edition are officially sold out. Automaker EV revealed the final price, release dates and other details of its R1T pickup truck and R1S SUV about two weeks ago. At the time, he encouraged pre-order holders to reserve their Launch Edition vehicle as early as possible due to their limited supply.

Rivian gave pre-order holders early access to its configurator on November 16. The company gave them ample time to order the R1T and R1S Limited Launch Edition. Now, just two days before the general public accesses Rivian’s configurator, stocks of Launch Edition appear to be depleted.

“Thank you for our community of pre-order holders for all the support and excitement – Launch Edition reservations are now full. Early access to the configurator continues for pre-order holders to create our Adventure and Explore packages. Public configurator accesses 11/23 9:00 am PST, ”Rivian tweeted on Nov 21.

Rivian announced a starting price of $ 75,000 for the R1T Launch Edition and $ 77,500 for the R1S Launch Edition. According to the company, R1T deliveries will begin in June 2021 in the United States and in November 2021 in Canada. R1S deliveries are expected to begin in August 2021 in the United States and in November 2021 in Canada.

Rivian has said he will kick off the launch of his vehicles with the company’s 300+ mile pack, which will likely be powered by the company’s 135kWh battery. Launch Edition vehicles will be equipped with its mid-range pack and its adventure pack which includes a premium interior and technology.

Based on Teslarati First look at Rivian’s configurator, Launch Edition vehicles only come with a pack over 300 miles. In 2018, the company announced that it would release three battery options for its vehicles. Besides a 135kWh battery, Rivian also talked about a 105kWh pack capable of over 230 miles of range and a 180kWh pack offering over 400 miles of range.

It appears that Rivian has decided to focus for the time being on producing vehicles with 135 kWh batteries. However, its configurator already offers pre-order holders the option to reserve the R1T EV pickup truck with the 180 kWh battery offering over 400 miles of range for an additional $ 10,000. The R1T equipped with Rivian’s 180 kWh battery appears to be available for those who choose to purchase the Adventure package or the Explore package.
