Rob Schneider launched a rant on Twitter slamming the coronavirus vaccines and called the shots “experimental gene therapy.”

“Just say no… and keep saying no”, Schneider, 57, tweeted Saturday. “More than half of the American population continues to say no to this unapproved experimental gene therapy!

Contrary to what the actor claims, the number of Americans who have received the COVID-19 vaccine has been steadily increasing. The Mayo Clinic said 55.6% of the population received at least one dose on Saturday, while 48.1% were fully immunized.

Schneider ended her tweet by quoting the slogan historically used by women defending their bodily autonomy and abortion rights, writing: “My body, my choice! “# 2ndAmendmentIsForThis.”

Twitter flagged the comedian’s tweet claims as “misleading” and added a link to a page on “why health officials consider COVID-19 vaccines safe for most people.”

That didn’t deter Schneider, however, as he continued to tweet about the importance of bodily autonomy.

“We should never abandon our liberal principles and our international stance on bodily autonomy, informed free choice and human rights, and support unprecedented coercion from healthcare professionals, patients and individuals to that they are receiving experimental treatments with limited safety data, ”he wrote.

The “Hot Chick” star even went so far as to claim the COVID-19 vaccines were part of a political conspiracy.

“Our government told us it was planning to go to OUR ENTRY DOOR with this,” he said. wrote, referring to President Biden’s pressure to knock on Americans’ doors to get everyone vaccinated.

“They lied, waged a fear campaign and a 2-year foreclosure, destroyed middle-class household incomes, bankrupt countless businesses and now put children’s lives at risk,” he said. added Schneider.

Many critics on Twitter have dragged the “Saturday Night Live” alum out for spreading misinformation about vaccines.

“It’s sad to see you destroying your reputation and your career because of this,” one person tweeted.

“4 million dead in the world. Rob, where is your doctorate in infectious diseases? Another wrote.

Others, however, jumped to Schneider’s defense and accepted his position.

“I am not a politician, I am a soldier, a husband, a father. What is happening in DC is excruciating. I didn’t fight for it, ”one Twitter user commented.

This is not the first time that Schneider has spoken out against the COVID-19 protocol.

In February, the “Grown Ups” star compared social distancing practices at a California school to “child abuse.”

“We are seeing a new kind of child abuse: bought and paid for with YOUR taxes,” he said. tweeted at the time. “The collapse of public schools that follow this lead will surely follow. History will not look at this kindly.

The CDC recommends that “anyone 12 years of age and over should get vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as possible” to help prevent the spread of the deadly disease.
