The deadline for players with a franchise label to sign multi-year agreements is set for Monday afternoon and it seems that this has been enough to spark agreement for a player in this position.

According to several reports, PFT confirmed, 49ers and kicker Robbie Gould have reached an agreement on a long-term contract. There are no details on the duration of the transaction or the financial conditions at this stage.

Gould was identified in March and requested an exchange during the off-season with discussions on a new deal progressing slowly. Gould has expressed the wish to play closer to his family's home in Chicago if a multi-year contract does not materialize with the Niners and recently stated that he would not commit to playing in 2019 under the terms of the tag.

This is no longer a problem and Gould will be wearing the 49ers' uniform in the years to come.

Texas linebacker Jadeveon Clowney and Falcons defensive tackle Grady Jarrett are the other two players who were scoring in March and have not signed any long-term deals.
