EXCLUSIVE: While we still don’t know much about David O. Russell’s upcoming feature film for New Regency, Deadline has confirmed that Robert De Niro, Mike Myers, Timothy Olyphant, Michael Shannon, Chris Rock, Anya Taylor-Joy, Andrea Riseborough, Matthias Schoenaerts, and Alessandro Nivola have all joined the star ensemble.
Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Rami Malek and Zoe Saldana will also star in the untitled project, based on an original idea by the five-time Oscar-nominated filmmaker. Filming is currently underway in California. Arnon Milchan of New Regency will produce alongside Matthew Budman and Anthony Katagas.
Russell hasn’t released a movie since 2015 Joy, starring Jennifer Lawrence in a role that earned her an Oscar nomination. Deadline broke the story of his current project early last year. New Regency will distribute the photo as part of its agreement with 20th Century Studios.
