Good points
Jurgen Klopp's men still represented a clear and obvious threat, as they remained patient and did not have to make mistakes. They were able to defeat Napoli as the game progressed and their fast pass was a constant pain for the Italians.
The negatives
The Reds showed far too much respect in Naples for the ball and seemed far too relaxed when they were in possession of the ball. The hosts were often able to reset themselves fairly effectively, and one of the main reasons for this was the slow pace of Liverpool, which still guaranteed them a dangerous life.

6 – Klopp's awareness that his team needed more physics in the middle of the park led to an interesting starting lineup, and certainly got them out of jail more than once. However, the manager was struggling to make the necessary changes, and while Liverpool showed a clearer incentive to attack in the second half, Klopp's hesitations with his replacements did not solve the problem.

DF Trent Alexander-Arnold, 7 – Has maintained a good balance between the pace of attack and phenomenal timing with its defensive functions. Has a great instinctive touch and makes a key interception in the 11th minute.
DF Joel Matip, 7 – He made a decisive pass in the 25th minute and, although he sometimes drifted drifting, the Cameroonian international remained solid at the back throughout the match.
DF Virgil van Dijk, 6 years old – Made a rare but crucial mistake for the second goal of Naples. He was perfectly in control at the back until the time the team was injured, which dropped him after 90 minutes of solid play.
