If you haven’t guessed it yet, Jay-Z, Carole King, and Tina Turner are among the induction contenders this year.
The other nominees are Mary J. Blige, Kate Bush, Devo, Foo Fighters, The Go-Go’s, Iron Maiden, Chaka Khan, Fela Kuti, LL Cool J, New York Dolls, Rage Against the Machine, Todd Rundgren and Dionne Warwick.
Inductees will be announced in May. The 2021 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held in Cleveland, Ohio in the fall.
To be eligible, an individual artist or group must have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination.
The public will once again have the opportunity to participate in the induction selection process.
Until April 30, fans can vote daily at the Hall of Fame site or at the Cleveland Museum. The top five performers selected by the public will include a “fan ballot” that will be counted with the other ballots to choose the 2021 inductees.
