Nexon America, in partnership with veteran development studio Final Strike Games, has announced that its all-new first-person shooter, Rocket Arena, will be going into closed beta on PC next week. The beta will run from May 23 to May 29 via Nexon Launcher and Steam.
At the moment the press release reads, Rocket Arena brings a unique 3-on-3 cross-platform experience to the genre of first-person shooter and presents a list of dynamic characters participating in 5-minute fast matches in the setting of the Rocket Championship Tour. Located in the curious world of World of Crater, the Rocket Arena features special game mechanics, distinct from the classic shooters, who revel in a host of colorful weapons and abilities using whimsical rockets to imaginative forms .
In Rocket Arena, players are equipped with a dynamometer that increases as the rockets explode. As the counter reaches its critical point, players are likely to be eliminated from the map, but will quickly come back on stage to stay in the action. Thanks to the dedicated linking feature, servers take into account skill level and latency when pairing players. Rocket Arena will be available for the cross-platform game on PC and Xbox One at launch, with PlayStation 4 under development.

The closed beta period includes a selection of six cards, four game modes and six characters. Players participating in the beta will also earn cosmetic rewards for use in the final version of Rocket Arena.
