The trailer for Madhavan’s highly anticipated film Rocketry has been released and it looks like an intense biopic. Rocketry is an important step in his film career as it marks his debut as a director. In addition to directing and acting, he also wrote Rocketry. The film examines a controversial period in the history of Indian space research.
The trailer opens with Madhavan’s Nambi Narayanan preparing to give an interview, which is conducted by a TV host (played by Suriya). And for the Hindi and English versions, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan plays the host.

Rocketry is based on the times and struggles of decorated aerospace engineer Nambi Narayanan. The trailer shows us a time when India was in its infancy in building space rockets and satellites. Nambi is revealed to be a visionary and a genius who make him abandon mediocrity. He is willing to beg, steal or borrow knowledge and technology from other countries to push Indian space science to the next level. The trailer celebrates him as a true patriot, as he throws in a lucrative bid from NASA to create a world-class space program in India. And after all of that, he’s labeled a traitor.
Rocketry is shot in Tamil, Hindi and English. And it will also be dubbed in Telugu and Kannada.
