The precision dance company, which performs at the parade every year, danced their entire number while wearing masks.

The group wore the masks to adhere to the parade’s Covid-19 protocols, which have been put in place to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus as cases continue to rise.

“All participants will be socially left behind during the directing and performance, and will be required to wear face masks,” Macy’s said on her Parade Safety FAQ. “Additional individual protection protocols will be implemented depending on the role of the participant.

While masks were a parade requirement, the performance still took social media by storm, with many praising the dancers for doing a rigorous activity with masks.

“If the Rockettes can wear a mask on the Macy’s parade … you can wear one in Target for 10 minutes,” wrote a Twitter user.
Radio City Rockettes is a precision dance company.
“The Rockettes said yes you can breathe in your mask,” wrote another.
“If the Rockettes can perform a flawless dance routine with masks (nose covered and all!), You can wear one to the grocery store,” added another user.
“If the Rockettes can wear masks while they play the Macy’s parade, then you can,” another user said.
A study released this month by the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention showed that mask warrants have actively slowed the spread of Covid-19.
Yet since the start of the pandemic, there has been a politicized debate over mask wearing in the United States.
