Rockstar Announces More Fixes for February 26th at Red Dead Online

The Red Dead Online update next week is about to add anti-grief measures and daily challenges to the game, but Rockstar Games has announced another round of additions that will come with the February 26 fix. This includes changes in balance, two new weapons and modifications to existing weapons, including the Varmint rifle. Here are the most important additions to the game announced today by Rockstar.

New events, races and free fencing modes will enter the game. The most interesting of these is Fool's Gold, a mission where players battle to wear golden protective armor. Claiming your armor and surviving by wearing it brings points back to the players. Killing the armor also gives a bonus points to the players.

The challenges of competition also give rise to fishing problems. Fishing challenges will be broken down by type, and players will participate and receive the bait, cane and lures needed for proper competition. Players who participate in fishing challenges are not threatened, allowing them to focus solely on fishing. Whoever catches the biggest total weight of fish wins.

Showdown offers three new modes: Up in Smoke, Spoils of War and Plunder. More information on these modes will be published in the coming days. The races will also receive a new variant, Target Races, where players will shoot targets on horseback as they head for the finish line.

Finally, a range of new cosmetic supplements are emerging. A wide range of clothing in all slots is coming, as well as new outfits. Stores and the catalog will start offering special limited time items. There will also be a selection of new emoticons that cover greetings, reactions and taunts.

Some of this content will be available for PlayStation 4 players at first. Open target races, a new jaw knife, three options and a selection of new clothes will be a PS4 exclusive for a timed window, then put available to Xbox One players.
