West Palm Beach, Florida – Rock icon Rod Stewart and his son have struck a deal to settle battery misdemeanor charges resulting from an altercation with a security guard at a posh Florida hotel.
Prosecutors and defense attorneys announced on Friday that Stewart and her son, Sean Stewart, would not stand trial for the altercation at The Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach on New Years Day 2020, the South Florida reported. SunSentinel. The conditions have not been published.

Security guard Jessie Dixon then told police that Stewart, now 76, and his family were at the check-in table for a private party they were not allowed to attend.

It was then that Sean Stewart, the rock star’s 40-year-old son, “came face to face” with Dixon.
Sean Stewart then pushed Dixon back. Rod Stewart punched Dixon in his “left rib cage area” with a closed fist, according to a police report.
The police report says Sean Stewart told investigators he became agitated when they were unable to attend the event “due to Dixon’s interaction with him and his family.”
Palm Beach officer Stephen Mancino said he looked at security footage at the hotel and determined the Stewarts were the “main attackers.”
Two Breakers employees who worked at the private event told police they saw Sean Stewart push Dixon and Rod Stewart punch the guard.
Dixon signed an affidavit saying he wanted to press charges against the Stewarts.
