Trump 's former advisor, Roger Stone, was forced Monday to apologize to the judge who presided over his criminal trial after sharing a photo of her on social media.
The photo of Judge Amy Berman Jackson was posted on Instagram and included what some have identified as a reticle in the background, which immediately provoked a negative reaction.

He then deleted the message but then re-posted the same photo – without the cross – and slammed his lawsuit into a caption.

Stone and his lawyers filed a notice Monday night, admitting that sharing the photo was not appropriate and he apologized.

The former Trump adviser then explained it on Instagram, claiming that the message had been "misinterpreted" and had denied trying to threaten the judge.

Stone was the target of the investigation of the special lawyer Robert Mueller on the alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
He was charged with obstruction, misrepresentation and falsification of witnesses by a grand jury as part of Mueller's investigation.
