The federal judge in the Roger Stone case has ordered him to appear in court this week as a result of a critical article about him posted on his Instagram account.

Judge Amy Berman Jackson scheduled for Thursday a hearing at which Stone will have to explain why Michael Jackson should not change the gag order that she imposed or re-examine the bail Stone gave after his arrest .

An article was published on Monday on Stone's Instagram account with a legend criticizing the "show trial" chaired by Jackson, the last element of an advertising campaign carried out by Stone since his indictment.

The caption that accompanied Jackson's photo alluded to the "Deep State" legal maneuvers that prepared Stone for a "show trial" in Jackson's courthouse.

The posting on Instagram has been removed and Stone has submitted apologies to Jackson.

The judge had opened the prospect of changing her gag order Friday in the order stating that she was trying to preserve her ability to form an impartial jury and to "preserve the dignity and seriousness of the courthouse and these procedures ".

Stone, meanwhile, is trying to raise money for a legal defense fund and told his supporters in a previous email that he was reduced to surviving with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
