Tonight is ROH night The best in the world PPV. The map features 5 title fights, EC3 in action, the Briscoes starting their rise to become tag champions 12 times, and much more.

The complete programming of the PPV and the pre-show includes:

  • Pure ROH Championship: Jonathan Gresham (c) vs. Mike Bennett
  • ROH World Television Championship: Tony Deppen (c) vs. Dragon Lee

  • Briscoes vs. PJ Black and Brian Johnson
  • Rey Horus vs. Demonic Flamita
  • PCO & Danhausen against the bouncers
  • Trend with Taven
  • The table of women’s tournaments unveiled

Rush’s challenger was determined when Bandido won the Survival of the Fittest tournament. Bandido’s prize was a ROH World Championship shot in the main event of The best in the world.

A similar scenario played out in the Pure division. Mike Bennett won a 7-man glove match. He came in fourth and picked up the victories to claim a title against Jonathan Gresham for the Pure Championship. The underlying story is that Gresham doesn’t respect his opponent’s Pure skills, while Bennett will fight to earn that respect.

There is a TV title, tag title, and Jay Lethal vs. Brody King fights on this map that are part of the overall story of faction warfare with Los Ingobernables, The Foundation, and Violence Unlimited.

Dragon Lee never legitimately lost the TV title. Due to an ear injury preventing travel, Lee was replaced by his Ingobernable brothers Kenny King to defend against Tracy Williams on the ROH’s 19th anniversary. Williams emerged victorious to become the new champion. In a subsequent title defense, Tony Deppen upset Williams to become the new champion. In a three-way game between Deppen, Williams and Lee, Deppen pinned Williams to keep. Deppen now wants to prove he is no longer an underdog by beating Lee.

Homicide and Chris Dickinson climbed the rankings to capture a shot at Tracy Williams and Rhett Titus for the tag titles. The Foundation is tired of playing by the rules when everyone lies, cheats and steals, so this match will be a fight without honor.

In an 8-man rumble between the Foundation and Violence Unlimited, King pinned Lethal. This led to their singles fight.

Shane Taylor promotions are fighting champions. Taylor offered title fights to anyone who stepped up to the challenge. The most recent to be bold is Dalton Castle.

Castle wants to bring some spice and panache back to ROH. He sees Dark Draper and Eli Isom as prospects with something special. The two youngsters don’t quite agree to trust Castle, but the peacock plans to show them the way.

In a battle between mentor and student, Silas Young faces Josh Woods in a rubber match. Young was fed up with Woods being disappointed with loss when it mattered most. Young won the first contest using his feet on the ropes for a pin while trapped in a submission. Woods won the rematch in Pure Rules via Leglock’s submission. Tensions escalated to Last Man Standing.

EC3 is to find honor in ROH. When Flip Gordon cheated to help EC3 win their tag team game against the Briscoes, EC3 was not happy. He’s going to teach Gordon a lesson.

The Briscoes are back together for team action after battling their grudges during the farm fight. Jay and Mark were eager to return to the title scene, but Papa Briscoe ordered them to start from the bottom and work their way up.

Flamita went to the dark side when she came across Flip Gordon. The evil root settled down to create the demonic Flamita. The Rudo has issues with trio partners Bandido and Rey Horus. Flamita and Horus will have it once more.

Danhausen recruited PCO to hunt tag titles. They will have the opportunity to make a statement against the bouncers.

Matt Taven isn’t scheduled to wrestle, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he won’t have action. Taven will be leading his talk show with his current nemesis, Vincent. There is no guarantee that Vincent will show up. If he does, violence will surely erupt. Taven wants to end this feud once and for all.

MIND The best in the world kicks off with a pre-show at 7 p.m. ET, available on Honor Club, YouTube, Facebook, and other PPV avenues. The main PPV starts at 8 p.m. ET. This show will also mark the return of fans of the ROH. Unfortunately, streamers will not be allowed due to COVID precautions.
