Jagger is recovering from a successful heart operation and could leave the hospital within a week. Reports indicate that the 75-year-old singer had undergone a heart valve procedure and that a stent had been inserted into a sagging artery. The Stones had previously canceled a major American tour when he was advised to Jagger to submit to the procedure rather than continue playing.

No postponement for missed dates has been announced.

The septuagenarian has maintained a fitness program that allows him to follow a frenetic activity on stage and maintain a lean physique, allowing the Stones to continue to turn after 55 years of music.
