Cornel Garbea was almost 90 years old. Graduate of the Theater Institute of Cluj (1952), he collaborated with directors Sergiu Nicolaescu, Geo Saizescu, Andrei Blaier, Virgil Calotescu and Ion Cojar. However, the name of Cornel Garbea's filmography is mainly linked to that of director Sergiu Nicolaescu, who distributes it in secondary but powerful roles, some of which disgust the sympathy of the viewer.

Under the leadership of Niolaescu, Garbea was the Bio-Aktiv representative at Ringul (1985), the chief of the gendarmerie at the Meeting (1982), the Chirva- sal legionary at A Commissar (1974), and so on.
