It was stressed that the authorities of the Republic of Moldova should find democratic means to resolve this unprecedented situation.

It is also recalled that the European Union expects the authorities of the Republic of Moldova that they guarantee the independence of the judiciary in accordance with international commitments made as one of the fundamental principles the rule of law, a crucial element of democracy and a long-awaited aspect for citizens.
