The afternoon of July 12 in the capital of Britain marks the beginning of the "Another Europe" program, an exhibition project in London's public space from July 12 to August 9, 2018 in which a photographer from each member state of the European Union was selected to display an image on a specially designed concrete slab installed in the Kings Cross area. Romania is represented in this project by the young photographer Oana Stoian, one of the finalists of the 2009 Sony World Photography Awards, the world's largest competition

The project, commissioned by the British artist Hamish Park and organized by the Institute The Romanian Cultural Association in partnership with the Austrian Cultural Forum, EUNIC London (Network of National Institutes of Culture of the European Union) and the Representation of the European Commission in the United Kingdom brings together 28 photographers who, through their work, reflect on cultural traditions in the process of extinction. Among the participants, with the Romanian representative, are: Jean Back (Luxembourg), Gerry Balfe Smith (Ireland), Jelena Blagović (Croatia), Paulo Catrica (Portugal), Emil Danailov (Bulgaria), Joanna Demarco Tamara Dezso (Hungary), Jeanette Hagglund (Sweden), Nina Korhonen (Finland), Astrid Kruse Jensen (Denmark), Petra Lajdova (Slovakia), Marketa Luskacova (Czech Republic), Marlot & Chopard Klaus Pichler (Austria), Romualdas Požerskis (Lithuania), Birgit Püve ( Estonia), Simon Roberts (Great Britain), George Tatakis (Greece), Andrej Tarfila (Slovenia), Andreas Trogisch (Cyprus), Iveta Vaivode (Latvia), Els van den Meersch (Belgium), Massimo Vitali (Italy) and Henk Wildschut (Netherlands)

"Few people will understand the symbolism of this exhibition, which is an example of one of the many forms of cooperation encouraged and developed by the Member States of the world. Over the decades, in this European Year of Cultural Heritage, we Let's present in London a presentation of European photographic talent. Many of the artists whose works are on display will be known to the general public, others less, but all brought by their own interpretation of cultural heritage, "said conservative Hamish Park
