Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă, Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Fifor and MEP Rovana Plumb are present in Târgovişte on Sunday at the celebration of Saint I. Niphon, Patriarch of Constantinople.

For the tenth consecutive year, in Târgovişte, there is a pilgrimage to the scrap with the relics of St. Jerome Nifon, informs the reality of Dambovita.

Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă, as well as several ministers, attended the event. This is not the first time that PSD dignitaries have been on pilgrimage to Târgovişte, and several ministers also did so last year.

The event, organized by the Archdiocese of Târgoviştei, was also organized in 2019 and gathered thousands of faithful, conscientiously sitting in long queues, from the early hours of August 11th.

The feast of St. Hierarch Nifon, patriarch of Constantinople and Metropolitan of the Romanian country, protector of the archdiocese of Târgovişte, takes place for ten years. More precisely since 2009, when, on the decision of the Holy Synod of the BOR, part of the relics of Saint-Nifon was transferred to the Târgovigte cathedral.

Every year since 2009, in the Târgovişte metropolitan park, thousands of faithful of the parishes of Dambovita worship on the saint's relics, which are placed outside the church on the occasion of his birthday (August 11).

At noon, there were still thousands of worshipers in the waiting line and traffic in the city center was restricted.
