Steve Ditko was found dead in his Manhattan apartment on June 29 and was declared dead by paramedics who were urgently called.

Cartoon fans, along with author Neil Gaiman, paid tribute to the artist.

Ditko became famous for characters created at Marvel Comics in the early 1960s. To bring Spian-Man and Dr. Strange to life as we know them
Today, he has collaborated with the future CEO of the company, Stan Lee.

It was Lee's idea to draw a teenage superhero with the power of spider, but the merit of the distinctive costume and design of Spider-Man blue and red
belong to Ditko.

Steve Ditko left Marvel Comics in 1966 and continued to create superheroes like The Creeper for DC Comics.
