This week in Oradea is held the Medieval Festival of the Fortress of Oradea, an event that continues the medieval tradition of the summer fair held in the Fortress of Oradea for centuries. In addition to medieval troops, demonstrations of medieval battles and great re-enactments of historical battles, the festival has an important component of promoting local artisans and artisans.

At the same time, on Guild Alley, craft workshops will be organized every day for the youngest, where children can train to paint on wood, make ornaments or participate in reading workshops.

Battle – Mongolian Siege on the Fortress of Oradea
Saturday at 18:00, in the Citadelle Park will be a unique medieval spectacle – " The Mongolian Siege of the Fortress of Oradea", with more than 250 medieval craftsmen and knights, archers, catapults and siege weapons. The show will stage one of the most important battles in the history of the city – the Mongol invasion of Oradea from 1241.
Most invited medieval troops at the festival will be involved in this event. Although the historical event marks the 13th century, the pageant will present the public with these moments with the remark that this year the story can be rewritten, the skill and courage of the fighters being the ones who will decide winners
