The 15-inch MacBook Pro, as expected, can now have a six-core Core i7 processor or Intel Core 2 i9, a 2.8 GHz 2.8-GHz Turbo processor. It comes with discreet Radeon Pro graphics, 32GB of DDR4 RAM (compared to 16GB previously) and 2TB or 4TB of storage.
Apple claims the model will deliver 70% faster performance than its predecessor, making it ideal for "manipulating large data sets, performing complex simulations, creating multitrack audio projects, or performing advanced image or a movie ".
The smallest 13-inch model now offers Core i5 and i7 quad-core processors combined with Intel Iris Plus integrated graphics, 2 TB SSD storage and 16 GB of RAM.
The new MacBook Pro, both with the TouchBar, incorporates the company's T2 chip that debuted in iMac Pro.
They are also the first MacBook Pro to use Apple True Tone display technology, a feature currently built into iPhones and business iPads that use light sensors to automatically adjust color temperature from the screen your viewing environment.
The new versions also include the Butterfly keyboard mechanism.
The 13-inch entry-level MacBook Pro without TouchBar has not been upgraded, and Mac is not included, including the 12-inch MacBook, MacBook Air and iMac. However, if recent rumors prove true, Apple could plan a major hardware revision this year.
The new MacBook Pro priced at 1749 pounds for the 13 inches and 2349 pounds for the 15 inches. Apple says the new models will be available for purchase this week.
