The new Macan remains true to Porsche's design DNA by including a three-dimensional LED strip in its exterior design. LED technology is also present in series headlights. The connection to the 911 is even more evident in the new Macan, thanks to the optional GT sports steering wheel. The steering wheel switch and the steering wheel-mounted Sport Response button are also featured in the new Macan as part of the optional Sport Chrono package. Porsche has expanded its list of comfort options, including a heated windshield and an ionizer designed to improve the quality of air in the interior. New body colors are available: "Miami Blue", "Mamba Green Metallic", "Silver Metallic Dolomite" and "Pencil".
Porsche used the facelift as an opportunity to expand the range of support systems on the new Macan. The new Traffic Jam Assist, with adaptive cruise control, allows for more comfortable and relaxed driving behavior at speeds up to 60 km / h. The system not only allows acceleration and partial auto braking, but also helps in traffic jams or slow traffic.
Thanks to the new Porsche Communication Management (PCM), Macan offers complete connectivity solutions and numerous digital features. Above the typical Porsche center console, a touch screen, enlarged from 7 to 11 inches, has been perfectly integrated into the new dashboard. As with Panamera and Cayenne, the infotainment system interface can be customized using predefined settings. The ventilation holes have also been redesigned and are now positioned under the main screen
Each Macan is equipped with a Connect Plus module so that each vehicle is fully connected to the network in standard equipment. This module provides a variety of digital features and services such as intelligent voice control and real-time traffic information – part of the standard online navigation system. One of the key elements of this system is the "Here Cloud" connection, which provides data packets provided by other traffic vehicles (swarming data). With the new Offroad Precision app, the new Macan is also able to record and analyze off-road experiences. 
Thanks to the optimized chassis, the new Macan is able to reinforce its exceptional sports car status in the compact SUV segment. . Chassis optimization offers increased neutrality, while maintaining stability and increasing comfort. Although atypical for the SUV segment, Macan still has mixed tires of different widths on the front and rear axles. As with Porsche sports cars, this equipment allows the driver to take full advantage of the Porsche Traction Management (PTM) full drive system for driving dynamics. The newly developed tires with superior performance provide even better lateral dynamics for increased driving pleasure, while the new 20 and 21-inch wheels also join the many customizable design options for the new Macan

The combination of Porsche's typical performance on any type of terrain, with a clear practical look for everyday roads, impressed customers from the start: since 2014, Porsche has delivered more than 350,000 units in the world. With more than 100,000 deliveries to date, the model is particularly popular in the Chinese market, where Porsche has chosen to unveil the rebuilt version of the compact SUV. The model presented in Shanghai will be available exclusively in the Chinese market, but other models and markets will be announced throughout the year.
