It may be a few more months before Disney’s Magic Kingdom is inundated with thousands of tourists again, but Disney is hoping millions more will be looking for a different kind of vacation to the happiest place in the world. . According to the Hollywood Journalist, For all mankind Creator Ronald D. Moore would spearhead the development of a universe made up of projects based on (what else?) Disney’s “classic parks and movies” for Disney +.

Known for his work on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Battlestar Galactica, Outlander, and its current NASA speculative drama on Apple TV, Moore’s upcoming Disney + franchise is set to take place in the universe of “Disney’s beloved magical kingdom.” The franchise will include a TV show, The Society of Explorers and Adventurers, which takes place “in a world where all the thematic terrains and characters of Disney parks and classic movies actually exist in another reality.” Moore will write and produce the series.

By THR, Moore is also working with the Disney Imagineering team to explore what existing Disney characters, park attractions, or classic movie properties can serve as the starting point for a movie or TV show, Pirates of the Caribbean-style. To be honest, Moore is already working on a Swiss family Robinson series with Crazy Rich Asians director John M. Chu.

Moore and Disney probably have a chest full of ideas, but in case they want our two cents, we’d like to pitch the idea for an alternate history congressional drama starring a young Bob Dole. Stay with us. The title? Dole Whip.
