Florida Statecrown jewel of their 2022 recruiting class, five star defensive back Travis Hunter, intriguing developments have taken place around its name over the past weekend. First, on Friday night he had what was believed to be a serious injury at the start of his high school football game. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where they determined he would not need surgery and the injury was not as severe as previously thought.
He then took much of the recruiting world by surprise when he was spotted in front of Georgia’s top 10 against the No.8-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks.
This news clearly worried FSU fans, as Hunter had publicly claimed he was locked up with Mike Norvell and the Seminoles despite their difficulties at the start of the season.
There have been no recorded reports of Hunter’s trip to Athens. He did, however, make an interesting comment on Instagram. Four-star offensive line member of the FSU engagement Qae’shon Sapp posted a post yesterday reaffirming their commitment to the ‘Noles by reading “WE LOCKED IN”. In the comments to this article, Hunter can be seen responding with “Yessir”.

It doesn’t look like the Hunter recruiting drama is ending anytime soon, as the talented Peach State prospect is believed to be planning to visit other schools for games during college football season.
According to the 247Sports Top247 ranking, Hunter is billed as the No. 1 global prospect in the country. 247Sports Southeast recruiting analyst Andrew Ivins compares Hunter to former FSU cornerback Xavier Rhodes. Here is his full scouting report on Hunter:
