Rosamund Pike has warned that we are “losing our grip on what we really look like” as she reveals her breasts and eyes have been doctored for movie posters.

The Missing girl and I care a lot star said her breast was ‘augmented’ for the 2011 comedy poster Johnny English Reborn.

And in 2019, her eyes were changed to brown in promotional material for the Marie Curie drama Radioactive.

Talk on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Pike said, “In the poster’s photo of the character [in Johnny English Reborn] I have a very impressive chest – which I don’t have.

“And for Radioactive, strangely, they made my eyes brown, which I still don’t know why.

Pike said it was all “weird” and made her wonder if people still know when their image has changed.

She said: “These are the obvious times when you notice, when you’re like, ‘Oh, I have brown eyes’ or ‘I have huge breasts’, but there are probably countless times our image tampered with and we don’t notice it … I think we’re all losing our grip on what we really look like. “

Pike isn’t the first star to talk about Photoshopping, with Kate Winslet and Zendaya among those criticizing the enhanced images of themselves in the past.

Winslet first spoke in 2003, saying that a magazine had “reduced the size of my legs by about a third” for its cover.

In 2015, Zendaya shared side-by-side images showing the natural photo and the edited version after a shoot, claiming that her hips and torso had been “manipulated enough”.

“These are the things that make women self-aware, that create the unrealistic ideals of beauty that we have,” Euphoria the star said.
