Rose McGowan on Marilyn Manson’s abuse allegations: “ I’m with Evan Rachel Wood ”

The ‘Scream’ actress, 47, taken to twitter Monday to show his solidarity with Wood following his allegations of abuse towards Marilyn Manson, allegations that Manson denied and called “horrible distortions of reality”.

“I’m with Evan Rachel Wood and other brave women who have stepped forward,” tweeted McGowan, who was previously engaged to Manson for two years before leaving him in 2001.

She continued, “It takes years to recover from abuse and I send strength to them on their journey to recovery. Let the truth be revealed. Let the healing begin.”

The shock rocker, 52, was named by Wood as her alleged attacker in a social media post on Monday.

“My abuser’s name is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson,” the 33-year-old wrote of her ex-fiancé, with whom she was briefly engaged in 2010. “He started grooming me when I was a teenager and abused me horribly for years.

“I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission,” she continued. “I ended up living in fear of reprisals, slander or blackmail. I am here to denounce this dangerous man and call on the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins more lives. I am with the many victims who no longer want to be silent. “

After Wood shared his own accusations, at least four other women released their own allegations against Manson in solidarity, Vanity Fair reported. The women claimed to have suffered “sexual assault, psychological abuse and / or various forms of coercion, violence and intimidation”.

The outlet noted that Manson had denied similar allegations in the past.

The “Deep Six” singer, who was dropped by his label following the allegations, also shared an Instagram post on Monday denying all of the allegations against him.

“Obviously my art and my life have long been magnets for controversy, but these recent claims about me are horrific distortions of reality,” Manson wrote. “My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how – and why – others now choose to distort the past, that’s the truth.”
