Scalebound was an ambitious title developing at PlatinumGames a few years ago and that was to be an exclusive Xbox One. Led by the one and only Hideki Kamiya, she mixed fantasy and science fiction and was rightly on the list of "must have" of many players.
However, in 2017, Microsoft put an end to the development and Scalebound seemed dead and buried. A game of this magnitude could only be developed with the financial aid of a major publisher or platform holder. Although Microsoft renewed the Scalebound brand, it became obsolete when the company was not able to indicate what application it would have after the game's cancellation.
Nintendo Insider reports that the game has been resurrected as an exclusive Nintendo Switch – the site even states that it is convinced that it is the game "dead and buried" that was mentioned yesterday.
Given PlatinumGames' strong relationship with Nintendo, this rumor is not the most far-fetched we've ever heard, although the project is likely to be drastically reduced to cope with the loss of processing power.
