If the Arizona Cardinals put quarterback Josh Rosen on the trade market, expect the Giants to be interested.
According to a report by Ralph Vacchiano of SNY, the Cardinals are seriously considering winning the Oklahoma Heisman Trophy winner, Kyler Murray, with first overall pick and then returning Rosen to the highest bidder:
The Giants plan to explore all possible options to find their quarterback of the future, including a potential exchange for Arizona Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen.
But here's the thing: for now, they do not know if Rosen is available or will ever be available.
And nothing that happened at the NFL owners' meetings this week has shed light on this mystery.
Many giant sources told SNY this week that all they have heard so far are "rumors" that the Cardinals are planning to take quarterback Kyler Murray of Oklahoma in the overall standings and to put Rosen on the pavement. They have certainly discussed this possibility internally, said a source, although these discussions were extremely preliminary. For the moment, they are not even sure if they would prefer Rosen – the 10th overall pick a year ago – to quarter of this year's draft.
Most of the time, they are waiting to see if the Cardinals decide to exchange Rosen and what could be their asking price.

If the giants were not attracted by the best hopes, such as Ohio State's Dwayne Haskins, Daniel Duke or Missouri's Drew Lock, Rosen would make sense as a commercial target.
In all likelihood, the cardinals will ask for some sort of package including the choice between choice # 17, choice # 37 or choice # 95.
After a relatively disastrous rookie season in which Rosen finished with only 55.2% of his passes, for a total of 2,278 yards, with 11 touchdowns and 14 steals, he would probably be better off sitting behind him. Eli Manning and develop the system of head coach Pat Shurmur.
Negotiating for Rosen would allow Giants general manager Dave Gettleman to replicate the Kansas City Chiefs' pattern of training a young quarterback behind a veteran while freeing choice # 6 for the best player available.
However, the Cardinals might not even face Rosen, especially after head coach Kliff Kingsbury hired the second-year quarterback this week.
"People have said a lot of things, which are misconceptions," Kingsbury told reporters in Phoenix when asked about a potential Rosen trade. "I've always thought of watching him at UCLA that he was playing his best football in a broadcast system, which has some similarities to what we do," said Kingsbury. "He is a great thinker. He is very cerebral and can throw him with anyone. We are very proud to build a system around the quarter, so say that someone does not fit our system does not make sense. "
