Rumors of MLB: Giants trade against Michael Reed vs. Twins against John Andreoli

The giants have not finished moving.

The team traded John Andreoli to the Twins against field player Michael Reed, according to Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area on Saturday:

Reed played only seven games last year with the Braves averaging .286 / .286 / .286 – the man, if any, is consistent.

But in 53 Triple-A games, he boasted a batting average of 363 with seven home runs and 25 RBIs.

Obviously, his big league numbers are at a very small sample, but those figures in the International League look promising.

The Giants have released Cameron Maybin and Matt Joyce in the last 24 hours. The team acquired Michael Yastrzemski on Saturday to help strengthen the outfield and provide more body for a vacuum situation – this seems to be the tendency to bring Reed into the team.

The Giants have released two outfielders this week, leaving many of us questioned … what's next?

Well, a familiar name is being acquired by the giants – Yastrzemski.

The grandson of Hall of Fame member Carl Yastrzemski, Michael, was acquired by the team, according to Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area:

The 28-year-old southpaw has spent six seasons on the minor teams. Last season, he played for Baltimore's Orioles Double-A and Triple-A affiliates. He finished his 2018 campaign with these two teams, with a .250 / .339 / .414 line with 10 homers.

Yastrzemski should provide the Giants with a depth of terrain that is difficult to feed. And, as Pavlovic says, other changes may be underway in the near future.

Matt Joyce was a member of the Giants organization for three days. He was acquired just one day after his release by the Indians – he is now a member of the Braves, as reported by Hank Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle.

Schulman later noted that Joyce was traded for money.

Do you have all this? That's right, the 11-year-old veteran was part of three different teams last week.

He will join the Braves for a contract with the minor leagues. It seems he would have a better chance with the big league club of this organization, but a quick glance at Atlanta's outfield lets the team possibly consider Joyce as an extra body. Ronald Acuna Jr., Ender Inciarte and Nick Markakis compose the outfield and Joyce is working on a rebound season.

Aged 34, he played 83 games with the A's last season, posting a .208 / .322 / .353 line with seven home runs and 15 RBIs.

The Giants have recently released veteran fighter Cameron Maybin. This creates more space … but for whom?

The current situation of the "big name" on the list of free agents does not have any field of application of less than 32 years …
