In a first move reported by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowksi, the Oklahoma City Thunder traded Russell Westbrook to the Houston Rockets in exchange for Chris Paul and a new round of first-round picks.

Via Wojnarowski:

"The Oklahoma City Thunder has agreed to a large-scale contract to send Russell Westbrook to the Houston Rockets in order to reunite him with James Harden," league sources told ESPN.

The Rockets will send guard Chris Paul, two secured first-round picks (2024 and 2026) and two selections (2021 and 2025) to the Thunder, ESPN told sources close to the league. "

To clarify the choices:

After sending Paul George to the Clippers and Jerami Grant at the Nuggets less than a week ago, Sam Presti has accumulated eight first-round picks. George and Westbrook are again in famous duets; George with Kawhi Leonard and Westbrook being reunited with former Thunder teammate James Harden.

As for Oklahoma City, the future of Paul in blue will remain in question. USA Today's Sam Amick announced that the Thunderers plan to keep their All-Star 9 times. Ramona Shelburne (ESPN) hinted that the franchise would work with Paul to decide what could do the best for his career.

Be that as it may, the Westbrook era is officially taking place in Oklahoma City – certainly it takes time to get used to it.
