Russell Wilson trade: bears should ‘take their picture’

[ad_1]

The Bears continue to connect with Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and they are exciting fans.

But he has not yet explicitly requested an exchange.

“I expect the Bears to at least take their shot here,” Jeremy Fowler told SportsCenter. “A source told me that Russell Wilson enjoys having an emerging offensive line, a good coach with a solid offensive mind in Matt Nagy, and that they have an intriguing market in Chicago.”

We’ve heard the reasons Wilson loves Chicago before, here are the good things.

“I keep hearing from the Seattle side, the Seahawks are not going to deal with him. They have nothing in the works. Russell Wilson himself doesn’t expect to be dealt with just yet, but Wilson is monitoring the situation closely because he wants more … he wants to see himself better protected, some future plans are in place.

“And if he doesn’t feel like he’s getting it in the weeks or months to come, he could make it even more difficult, raising the stake publicly. So we’ll see, maybe that opens the door to the Bears.

So a few takeaways from Fowler’s report …

1. The bears will try their luck

2. Because Russell Wilson hasn’t requested a trade yet, that doesn’t mean he won’t do it this offseason.

Then he mentioned Alex Smith as a backup plan and said Mitchell Trubisky’s return was less likely.
