During a Q & A session on Twitter organized by WIRED on Monday, Avengers: Endgame director Joe Russo surprised fans by claiming that Richard Rider's Nova Rider was on the big battle scene of movie.

"It was actually a joke on our part," Russo wrote in an email to comicbook.com about the battle sequence and his answer during question period.
Who is Richard Rider? According to HeroicHollywood, Nova is a member of the intergalactic police force known as the Nova Corps, which has crossed the path of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain Marvel and Thor.
