Russos Clarify Nova Is Not in Avengers: Endgame After Joke Viral Goes

The internet was abuzz with talk of the high-flying Marvel hero Nova a Wired video featuring the Russo brothers answering fan questions saw them revealing that Nova Richard Rider was somewhere in the final battle of Avengers: Endgame. However, the Russos then released a statement to ComicBook.com that they were joking and Nova is not in Endgame. "Look closely at that scene again and you will see … Richard Rider in the background of the shot. Easter egg, "Joe Russo said in the original Wired video, only for Joe to later clarify via email," That was actually a joke on our part. "

To be fair, the Russos were asked many questions to which they gave a silly answer, so it should not be a surprise they were joking. That said, they did offer many real answers, and they came away completely as answering the Nova question; more, Marvel Studios mastermind Kevin Feige has said he's considered introducing MCU Nova, and there was a Nova Easter Egg in Spider-Man: Far from Home when Peter was looking for movies to watch over the "Nova" was the title of a documentary by Doctor Eric Selvig, so it's easy to see why we are on the internet, us included, were so ready to believe the Russos were telling the truth.
