Eva Mendes never thought that she would be mother, but she then met Ryan Gosling, so we understood everything.

In an interview with Women's Health, the 45-year-old actress, explained her perspective on motherhood by stating that "it was the furthest thing from my mind".

How did she find herself with two children then? Mendes attributes this change to her husband, Ryan Gosling.

When the couple hosted Esmeralda, Mendes said she wanted to get away from Hollywood, especially after working "very hard" for 20 years.

"I had a lack of ambition, so I can be honest," said the mother. "I feel more ambitious at home now than at my workplace."

Mendes said she was considering raising her two daughters away from the Hollywood fixtures, claiming that celebrity can be "very scary when you are trying to raise your kids".
