Update with trailer There is clearly something in the water, and on land, in the last look at American Horror Story 10.

Murphy teased the next episode of the FX horror franchise on Tuesday, sharing a poster for American Horror Story: Double Feature Film via Twitter.

American Horror Story: Double Feature Film will face off against “two gruesome stories” – one by the sea and the other in the sand, Murphy previously revealed, and the poster teases exactly that. In the sea, a mermaid with a full set of sharp teeth inhabits the water. However, the first half of the monster’s face is that of an alien, with bulging eyes reflecting the dry environment around it.

FX also unveiled a teaser for the next chapter. The two monsters face each other tooth to tooth in the short clip, which teases two parts – the first is Crimson Tide, and the second is called Death Valley.

The poster and teaser arrive a week after Deadline exclusively learned that the series had ceased production due to Covid-19. Deadline understands that the 20th television-produced drama ended days after a positive case, leading a number of those involved to self-isolate.

Released on August 25 American Horror Story: Double Functionality cast members AHS veterinarians Sarah Paulson, Even Peters, Kathy Bates, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Adina Porter, Lily Rabe, Angelica Ross and Finn Wittrock as well as Macaulay Culkin, Kaia Gerber and Neal McDonough.

The series is produced by creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, starring Alexis Martin Woodall, John J. Gray and Manny Coto.
