Ryan Reynolds not only has a new live action movie, "Pokemon: Inspector Pikachu", but he will become Daddy for the third time.

The actor and his wife, actress Blake Lively, announced that they were expecting the number three baby on the yellow carpet at the movie premiere in New York on Thursday. They are already parents of girls: James, 4 years old and Inez, 2 years old.

In the movie, Reynolds expresses the animated character who is amnesic but is looking for his missing partner, Harry Goodman. In order to solve the case, Pikachu teams up with Harry's son, Tim Goodman (Judge Smith), who is also the only human to understand Pokémon addicted to caffeine.

Together, they attempt to solve the "very crooked" mystery while tracking the origins of a dangerous drug called "R" that causes Pokémon's violent action.

Reynolds revealed that he did not know the fictional world of Pokemon in the movie. "The learning curve was steep," he said. "And it's amazing. This is a very deep catalog that exists at the Pokemon company."

He added that even when Pokemon Go became the big craze of the summer of 2016, he also avoided it. But he signed on to the film because he thought that Pikachu's "whole atmosphere" was cool and that he was connecting to the character and the world in which they live.

The experience of motion capture was, however, strange to Reynolds. "I was in pursuit gear and then, as if, 50 cameras circled my face," he explained. "It was weird – like watching my soul withdrawn and put in that little yellow guy."

"Pokémon: Inspector Pikachu" will be released in theaters on May 10th.
