Ryan Reynolds details his last conversation with Alex Trebek.
The 44-year-old actor opened up to E! News of her relationship with the late “Jeopardy!” host while discussing Trebek’s cameo in the upcoming “Free Guy” movie.
“Even just before he passed away, I spoke to him on the phone about a charity initiative he was trying to launch,” Reynolds told the outlet. “This guy was really doing good things right until the end. Having him in the movie is definitely bittersweet for sure.”
The “Deadpool” actor has previously opened up about his close relationship with the game show host. Trebek died in November after battling pancreatic cancer.

Reynolds has also opened up to E! News on how “Free Guy” is his favorite movie he’s ever made.

“I’d say it’s probably my favorite movie I’ve ever made, mainly because I grew up watching Amblin wish-fulfilling movies,” the actor explained.

“I just feel like the last few years have been so hard for so many people, not just in this country but all over the world. It’s great to work and to be a part of a movie that is than this shameless ball of joy. “
