Former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier warned the Tampa Bay Buccaneers: If you sign Antonio Brown, you have to be prepared for the consequences.
During his weekly appearance on “The Ringer NFL Show” podcast last week, Shazier opened up about his experience with the Bucs new wide receiver, who was his teammate on the Steelers for over four years. He said Brown will have a “huge impact” on the Bucs, but it could be good or bad.
“The biggest thing for me about Antonio is that he’s all for attention,” Shazier said. “He’s super careful, man – on the pitch, off the pitch.

Brown is a “ tasteless friend ”
Shazier’s locker was right next to Brown’s, and they were friends while they were teammates – but not good friends. Brown got hot and cold with Shazier, only wanting to be friends when he heard exactly what he wanted to hear.
“To me Antonio is like a foolish friend, my brother,” Shazier said via the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “I don’t know if he’s bipolar and all that, but like, someday he and I would be cool. Then if you don’t say something he wants to hear, then he’s mad at you. Like, brother, I don’t have time to suck you off and be your best friend. Don’t you want to hear what I have to say? I’m trying to tell you for your advice from my past experience, you know what I’m saying? And I just hope he doesn’t do that there.
And just like most crazy friendships, it didn’t last.
“I was blocked on Twitter. I have been blocked on Instagram. Like, brother, I wish you luck. I don’t show beef, I don’t cast shadow, but if you want friends who are going to tell you what you want to hear, it’s not me.
Shazier made a prediction about the Buccaneers and Brown: “As he speaks for himself, Tampa isn’t going to the Super Bowl.”
The Brown Era begins Sunday night when the Bucs face off against the New Orleans Saints. Brown has eight games to prove Shazier wrong.
