Shares closed down on Wall Street on Monday, as the fall in bank stocks led the S & P 500 to its third loss of the last three weeks. Goldman Sachs and Citigroup each declared that their equity trading had struggled in the first quarter. Goldman fell 3.8% while Citi shares fell 0.1%.
