S Pen Pro video surfaces ahead of Galaxy Z Fold 3 launch

Samsung first teased the S Pen Pro stylus when it announced the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The company had mentioned that it would launch the professional-grade stylus later this year. A few days ago it was revealed that the S Pen Pro will also work with the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Now a video of the upcoming stylus has been leaked ahead of the official launch.

The S Pen Pro video was posted to Twitter on Saturday, revealing its design. At first glance, the next stylus will have a button on the front with a white status LED. There appears to be another switch towards the end of the S Pen Pro, but we don’t know what it does. It was disclosed earlier that the S Pen Pro has Bluetooth LE (for Air Actions) and that it can be charged using a USB Type-C port, but the video shows no ports, which can to be hidden.

The stylus may be available in only one color: black. It will be compatible with Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold 3. Samsung may have used a special material to make the tip of the S Pen Pro so that it does not damage the relatively smoother foldable screen of the Galaxy Z. Fold 3. Samsung has revealed that it has also developed a special S Pen (called the S Pen Fold Edition) for the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

More information about the S Pen Pro and the S Pen Fold Edition will be revealed at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event on August 11.
