Blizzard recently revealed his last World of Warcraft kinematic. Safe Haven details how the Horde insurgent, Varok Saurfang, discovered and recruited Thrall for the Horde cause.
The cinematic begins with the appearance of Saurfang in Outland – the vestige destroyed in the birthplace of the Orcs, Draenor. Despite the scars of the battles in World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade, the earth is green and growing. Saurfang finds Thrall, who sharpens a blade in his own improvised orc village.
They talk about warlord Sylvanas Windrunner and how she destroys the Horde. Thrall claims that he will no longer rule the Horde, and Saurfang asks him if he will fight to get it. The undead assassins ambush them.
After fighting them, Thrall gets angry with Saurfang for putting his family at risk. Saurfang reveals that he followed the Assassins, which Sylvanas presumably sent to kill Thrall. Saurfang tells Thrall that both will never be safe and will not be able to flee this fight. Thrall kicks his anvil and grabs his ax.

This new cinematic gives context to how Thrall appears in the next World of Warcraft piece. With Thrall at his side, Saurfang's resistance is more likely to hang on.
With Thrall claiming he will not lead the Horde at Safe Haven, Saurfang remains the most likely candidate to claim a leadership role. If Saurfang or other important Horde leaders die in this resistance movement, it could convince Thrall to change his mind and resume his original role as warlord.
Players will see more Thrall when Blizzard releases patch 8.2, Rise of Azshara in the coming weeks.
