The Defense Department is investigating a US Navy who said at a Trump rally to be “the guy who shot the baby over the wall” in Kabul, Task & Purpose reported.
An August 19 video taken during the US military’s frenzied withdrawal from Kabul showed a US Navy hoisting a little girl over a barbed wire fence outside Kabul airport.
At a “Save America” rally in Perry, Ga., Last Saturday, Lance Cpl. Hunter Clark appeared to pretend he was that Marine.
“Hey, my name is Lance Corporal Hunter Clark, I’m from Warner Robins, Georgia. I’m the guy who pulled the baby over the wall and that’s definitely probably one of the biggest things I’ve ever had. ‘ve never done in my life. “he said.
“I just want to thank all the support from all of you, it really means a lot and I’m happy to be home today, thank you.”

Although Clark did not say when he helped evacuate a baby, Clark’s command told Task & Purpose that Clark was not the Marine seen in the August 19 video.
Clark is also under investigation due to his appearance, Task & Purpose reported.
“The 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit initiated a command investigation into LCpl Hunter Clark’s presence at the event last weekend to determine if DoD policies were violated,” said Capt. Kelton J. Cochran, Gate – speech of the 24th MEU, at the point of sale.
Cochran did not specify which policies Clark might have violated, but Department of Defense guidelines prohibit US troops from speaking “in front of a partisan political rally, including any rally promoting a political party, d ‘a candidate or cause supporters’.
The Defense Department did not immediately respond to Insider’s request for comment.
Clark did not wear his uniform at the Trump rally and he did not make any political statements.

The baby seen in the video was eventually reunited with his father, the Marine Corps later said NBC News.
