It’s official: Sam Darnold won’t be seeing ghosts tonight. That’s because the Jets quarterback doesn’t play the Patriots on Monday Night Football.

Darnold, who doubted a right shoulder injury, is among the non-active Jets.

Darnold injured his shoulder on October 1 and missed two games. He returned to the lineup but made the injury worse and was eliminated again.

Joe Flacco will make his third start of the season. He has a touchdown and an interception in the two losses he started.

The other inactive Jets players are quarterback James Morgan, kicker Sam Ficken (right groin), receiver Vyncint Smith (groin), linebacker Blake Cashman (hamstrings), offensive lineman Cameron Clark and defensive line Quinnen Williams (hamstrings).

The Patriots had previously ruled out cornerback Stephon Gilmore (knee), defensive tackle Lawrence Guy (elbow, shoulder and knee), linebacker Ja’whaun Bentley (groin), running back JJ Taylor (illness), tight end Dalton Keene (knee) and receiver N’Keal Harry (concussion). Their other inactive is third quarterback Brian Hoyer.

This is the second game in a row Gilmore has missed.
