Samsung could suggest that it is resolved the Galaxy Fold

[ad_1]

Samsung reiterated that it would announce the revised release date of the Galaxy Fold in a few weeks, after it remained its only choice to delay the handset earlier this month. This is the second time the company insists it will launch a new launch date in the near future – first in the statement it issued when the handset was deferred, and now in its latest call concerning the results.

For us, this seems to indicate that Samsung is convinced to have identified the source of the problem (s) that caused a number of reviewers to encounter an obstacle when using the Galaxy Fold. Most of the time, it was because they were playing with the protective film attached to the delicate 7.3-inch folding screen, rendering it unusable.

There is however a simple solution to this. All that Samsung needs to do is find a way to warn customers that the layer needs to be left in place. As it stands, there is a small opinion on the cellophane film covering the unit in the box, but that is not enough. At a minimum, a pop-up notification should appear when you first power on the device.

What's more worrying too is the small number of reports of critics who claim that their Galaxy Fold has burst after foreign bodies have managed to infiltrate the device itself, thus erasing the screen of the inside. Disassembly later confirmed that there were a number of openings around the hinge that could allow debris to enter.

As we noted in our disassembly cover, this could be another simple solution. Apple had a similar problem with the MacBook Pro keyboard and created a layer of silicone as a buffer between the inside and the outside. This is something that Samsung could do with Fold to keep debris from getting inside.

Despite the silence of Samsung, the US company AT & T announced that Samsung would launch the Galaxy Fold in the region on June 13. However, we do not advise you to consider this as a gospel; this could be the temporary date that Samsung has told the operator. But until Samsung decides, this remains to be confirmed.
