Samsung doesn’t wait until next week’s CES to begin its 2021 product announcements. On Wednesday, the South Korean electronics giant will live stream a virtual version of its annual First Look event. The invitation sent to journalists teases a “new vision of screens”.

Samsung has traditionally used CES as the place to update its TVs, though the invitation suggests screens can go beyond traditional TVs, with silhouettes showing a variety of rectangles in different orientations and designs.

The event may provide a U.S. update for Samsung’s 110-inch MicroLED TV goes on sale in Korea in December for the equivalent of $ 156,000. Cheaper QLED models could also be in sight.

When does the event take place?

The First Look event kicks off at 11 a.m. ET (8 a.m. PT) on January 6.

How can I watch?

We’ll be streaming the livestream right here on CNET. Samsung will also broadcast the program on its website as well as on YouTube.

Is this the Galaxy S21?

Not likely. While it’s possible there may be some teasing, Samsung seems to be saving the Galaxy S21 unveiled for next Thursday, January 14, when he has a different livestream focused on his phones.
