I begin to understand that the screen of my iPhone XS is really tiny when I leave the Fold to send an SMS from my number. A person recently asked me if I would have a hard time getting the device back to Samsung in a few days. Although the answer is a little "not really", the march to even larger screens seems inevitable – and I believe that the down phones will be an important part of this effort.
Of course, I also think that we are almost a generation or two of this first shot on this fold that seems large enough and bulky (some who have already seen the phone have already spoken so much). I'm back at the airport today, and airline representatives and TSA agents (who see MUCH of phones as people check in) seem pretty impressed.
I had the phone standing at 45 degrees on the bathroom sink this morning to watch the information while I was brushing my teeth. It's pretty cool. And if I had foresight, I loaded some movies on it for the flight. It definitely beats the screens of the seatbacks on Delta.
In addition to fingerprints on the outside, the interior becomes like a dusty crazy after any kind of use. And much of it accumulates in the small tank between the screen protector and the outer lip.
The top photo is from yesterday's A game (the dark line along the seam is a shadow). You can use the front panel as a viewfinder when taking pictures, but it is rather small. The interior, meanwhile, makes you feel like one of those people who use their iPad to take pictures in public. Once you have overcome this problem, it is a very good way to view the shots.
And no, it's not broken yet. We are still waiting for Samsung's official message about what happened there. The Fold is about to be released April 26 in the United States, despite everything, and even if a publication in China seems to be delayed.
