Samsung Galaxy Note 10 reviews

[ad_1]

The all-new Samsung phablet range is here and ready to be purchased. You heard us right: there is now a range of phablets rather than just one phone.

Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus are the first handsets in the Note line to display on all screens, although its appearance is slightly different from that of Galaxy S10 or Galaxy S10 Plus.

Its edge-to-edge display technology is still called Infinity-O, but here, the cut-out of the front camera is aligned in the center, at the top of the phone screen, instead of being pushed up, to the right.

This placement of the unique circular lens creates a distinctly cyclops look – an eye looking at you like HAL in 2001: an odyssey of space.

This is the first time in a long time that Samsung has chosen to introduce two Galaxy Note phones at the same time. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is the one you're reading right now, plus the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus.

Note 10 Plus has a significantly larger screen and is therefore larger in general. It comes with some upgrades under the hood and in the camera department compared to the standard model.

Below, we will talk about our experience with the Galaxy Note 10, but remember to consider the largest handset (and therefore the most expensive) if you are looking for the best features offered by Samsung.

Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 10 in August 2019, which was available soon after, alongside the Galaxy Note 10 Plus.

If you buy the phone directly, the price of the Galaxy Note 10 is set at $ 945 / AU $ 869 / $ 1,499. Unlike other handsets, you will not spend more than that because it is only available in a storage size and therefore a price.

We offer a selection of the best deals you can buy below depending on your place of residence.

First, the introduction of a Plus handset in the Galaxy Note 10 range has ensured that the normal handset does not feel as gigantic as in previous editions.

The note 10 holds much more comfortably in the hand than the Galaxy Note 9 or Galaxy Note 10 Plus, but it's still a tough phone to hold for smaller hands.

Note 10 is not only smaller than Note 9, it is also lighter and thinner. It measures 72 x 151 x 7.9 mm and, with 168 g, is one of the lightest Samsung flagship phones.

Again, it's still a big phone and those with smaller hands will have a hard time using it with one hand – do not expect it to be as easy to use as handsets like the iPhone SE or the compact range of Sony Xperia phones.

The biggest design change compared to other Samsung phones is the introduction of a full-screen display with a perforated cutout for the front camera at the top center of the screen – the Galaxy S10 and S10 More have both camera tech selfie on the top right.

Note 10 features a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with a full HD resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels, with a resolution of 401 pixels per inch. It incorporates HDR10 + technology and, given that Samsung has not opted for a QHD screen, we are impressed by its appearance.

We did not notice the lack of a commonly used QHD screen, but if you're used to a higher resolution phone than Full HD, you may be able to spot the slightly lower resolution of this handset.

We found that the screen was bright and easy to read, but we often found ourselves using the screen with high brightness rather than using automatic brightness.

Some may not be fans of the central camera sensor placement, but it's probably a lot less intrusive than the nicks you get on other popular phones, like the iPhone XS or iPhone 11.

Like the S10 and S10 Plus models, the fingerprint scanner is integrated with the Samsung screen. It is slightly higher than the under-display scanners of some other Android phones.

This seems to be a more comfortable place, because your thumb naturally falls on this area when you use Note 10. We immediately unlocked the phone without thinking about anything, and it turned out to be fast and accurate.

On the bottom edge of the Galaxy Note 10, you'll find the USB-C connector in the center, with a speaker and the S-Pen slot on the right. The top edge of the phone is uninterrupted, except for the SIM card tray.

The left edge of the phone houses the volume selector and the power button is below. Samsung chose to kill the Bixby button that has appeared on many recent Samsung flagship products – to activate it, simply hold down the power button for a few seconds, which is a much more effective solution.

The frame of the phone is made of high quality metal, while the back is glass. Your color options are Aura Glow (a combination of blue and white), Aura Black and Aura Pink, but we still do not know which markets will get which colors.

We especially liked the variant Aura Glow, whose color changes depending on the light under which you use the phone. The phone is also water resistant and IP68 dustproof, so you can wet it without having to worry about breaking it.
