Do we have a Samsung Galaxy Note 22 in 2022 or not? With the cancellation of the Galaxy Note 21, we don’t know if Samsung will bring back its premium flagship stylus-equipped smartphone next year – but the latest evidence suggests there is still hope.
This proof is a tweet from a reliable tipster Ice universe, who says a supply chain source saw “evidence of the existence” of the Galaxy Note 22. It’s inconclusive as to the evidence, but for now we’ll take it .
At the moment, we don’t have much more to report on the Galaxy Note 22 – that’s not surprising, considering it’s only August one, when the flagship phones Note generally see the light of day (so August 2022 is a potential launch window for the next one).

Samsung’s foldable future
Part of the reason industry watchers think the Note series might be dead is that the S Pen stylus – once exclusive to Galaxy Note phones – is now compatible with much of the Samsung lineup, including the Galaxy S21 Ultra.
Significantly, the stylus now works with the recently unveiled Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, and there is plenty of evidence to suggest that Samsung views this handset as the long-term successor to the Note, although the company has not officially said so.
With the Galaxy Z Fold 3 offering what the Note offered before – a large display, premium build, and a stylus – it will be very interesting to see if the Note makes a comeback in 2022. This latest leak suggests: maybe.
Notice: there is still room for the Galaxy Note
While we are not aware of the ongoing discussions at Samsung at this time, in a market as dense as the smartphone market is in 2021 (and will be in 2022), we believe there is room for what the Samsung Galaxy Note 22 can offer consumers.
It’s fair to say that there is now some overlap with the Galaxy Z Fold 3 – the foldable phone gives you more screen space while still being able to (pretty much) fit in your pocket. The price is still very expensive, however, and while the S Pen is supported, there is no built-in slot for it.
The Galaxy Note offers a phone that can hold a stylus inside and should be available at a significantly lower price than any foldable offer from Samsung. Over the years, we’ve been huge fans of the Note series and how it combines a larger-than-average display with top-notch components.
Unfortunately, the Galaxy Note 20 was a bit of a letdown. While Samsung can get the right mix of features, specs, and pricing for the Galaxy Note 22, it can still deliver something that you don’t quite get with everything Samsung makes.
