For five years, I'm on board the iPhone train.
Shortly after graduating from university, I switched from Android to the iPhone, buying a 5S iPhone in gold that has served me well for about two and a half years. Later, I switched to an iPhone 6S and, lately, I use an iPhone X.
Lately, though, I'm a little tired of my iPhone. Of course, there is still a lot to love iPhones and Apple products as a whole. But last year – maybe around the time I had a rough experience with the Apple repair process – I started to feel ready to at least look for a device in the air. outside the Apple ecosystem.
I have the chance to try many devices and I am delighted with my love for Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 3 in the past.
Despite everything, I have not yet found "the one" – the device that would make me give up iMessage, FaceTime, the App Store, regular updates, a superb upscale design and the many other iPhone benefits that I have come to love and rely on.
But in recent weeks, I've tried the Samsung Galaxy S10e, one of many new Samsung smartphones that debuted in February. This is not Samsung's flagship device, but rather a smaller and more affordable alternative that loses some features – features that, honestly, do not represent such a big problem.
Since I started testing it, I discovered that the Galaxy S10e is one of the few Android devices that could convince me that it is time to make the change. . Here's why.
